still here!

i'm here!, i'm alive! the holiday kept me busy plus mikey is still in a grouchy mood. he is growing molars so maybe that's why...


here is the apple pie i made for thanksgiving. also made a pineapple pecan but didn't take a pic. i don't make the prettiest pies but they tell me that they are really yummy! i actually don't eat them...but i make them!


this is a painting for my sister in law's niece. she saw the one i gave my sister in law and kept bugging her for one so.. sorry about the bad pic! so gloomy here still i had to use a flash.



and finished mikey's snake! what do you think? i have more things to show you but it's so dark and gloomy!

GLOOMY

it's gloomy and rainy today but i took a couple pics anyways....


this is my other work in progress. a amigurumi style snake for mikey. i used scraps of 100% cotton. it's nearly done.


and here is his scarf. it has spikes like a stegosaurus. hat next! hope you all had a nice weekend!

snail mail

i LOVE this book! it is huge! and filled with victorian images of clothing, accessories, hats and hair styles. reprinted from original harpers bazar magazines. i can't stop looking!





an ugly doll. this is for mikey for christmas. first thing i've gotten him. very tempted to give it to him early. but i'll wait...

i wanted this one song from this album.. but amazon doesn't sell the mp3..it's from the UK. so i had to get the whole cd on ebay. hopefully i like more of the songs!

new old book

i got this sweet little book on etsy. from 1931. old book about raising children. the part on marriage was interesting too. i am on page 60 so far and it's very interesting!

maura, collector of mushrooms

i've got a cold..bla! and i think mikey is getting it too.. but wanted to show you a couple cute things...


got these cute halloween things on clearance at walmart! hardly ever find anything really cute at walmart. i got the napkins thinking i can use them for something crafty...what i don't know!


the owl has a vintage style about it. holds candy in the tummy. even the candy is owl shaped!


last year i wanted to get mikey christmas jammies but they sold out at gymboree so quickly! so i got these early this year. so cute!

thrift finds

i love these tins with handles especially with flowers of course!

a great little helper!

mikey is a super excellent helper with cleaning up leaves! though i think he's sorry to see them go!

not much to say...

mikey was having a bad week last week and the weekend..but whatever it was has passed and the last few days he's been really happy and trying to imitate. i am thinking of trying sign language with him again soon.
i have one vintage find to show you.. but will probably wait until monday.



i did get a coupe hoots done and will have some pink ones next week.



also added a couple vintage things to my shop.

when i saw this painting you give the best hugs by DUDADAZE i couldn't resist. it reminds me so much of how mikey wraps himself around me so tight! it is so sweet and whimsical! love the flowers and the colors!

really an adorable piece! you can't help smiling when you see it! and it inspired....
