dolly hats!

making dolly hats and working on sewing some dolls this week. i made two sewn dollies already. i will show them later. anyways here are some hats. these are all sold but aren't they cute? making maybe 3-5 more for the shop. then amigurumi time!

cutting out pieces..

here is today's project.. this one will be for me! stingy i know but this is a free pattern for personal use only so i can't share. anyways i cut out all the cloth pieces and gonna go sew now. still need to cut some felt pieces too.. pretty fabric from a scrap bag lot from etsy..off to sew

a future artist?

mikey is painting this morning. he loves to paint and color. he especially like the dot dabbers. such fun!

new crafty supplies

i had a coupon for joann's so yesterday we went and i got some more yarn, a couple sheets of felt, some eyes for amigurumi, a small spool of pink rick rack and some threads. my son loved the thread isle with all the pretty colors. it amazes me how well he behaves at the craft stores! lucky for me!

well i finished the three birds and also a little strawberry friend today. these will be the last birds for awhile as i have other projects in mind...

here are the birds this morning. candy corn is done. the other three are sew..awaiting wings, beaks, feet and eyes. they should be done today..or tomorrow. isn't candy corn cute?

more socks

i wore my pink socks yesterday and they were so comfy so i ordered two more..it's getting cold here so it's nice to have long warm socks!

here are some birds. i use a pattern for the little bodies and free-hand cut the beaks, feet and wings.. the orange one (candy corn) should be done today.

wow...went out to the mailbox and there were all kinds of goodies! my socks came already! super fast! my trade with julia and my frog and mushroom twill trim... julia sent all kinds of extra goodies too! thank you!

made two birdies.. baby chickens.. yesterday. the blue one is a gift for my mom. the oatmeal one will be on etsy. planning to make an orange one for etsy also.. they are really cute and tiny..

field trip

my son and i went to his very first school field trip on tuesday. county line orchard. www.countylineorchard.com we picked apples, saw bees, watched the apple sorter in action and fed and petted animals. here are our pictures !
