a couple more old books

i also picked up a couple other old books this weekend. one is a 1937 edition of heidi with a beautiful color illustration and another book that looked interesting call cynthia in the wilderness from 1908.

louisa may alcott

i have always loved the book little women by louisa may alcott. and i have ready a few others. but i recently decided i want to read everything she's written. so i started with good wives. the next part after little women. i finished that this past weekend so now i have started on little men. i also have under the lilacs and a few on the way eight cousins (i've red this but plan to re-read), quiet little woman and jo's boys.
also bidding on jack and jill and silver pitchers on ebay now.
so anyways i don't know how long it will take to read them all but it is a new goal of mine. i am also trying to collect her books in very old editions. 1920's or older.. so it'll be a long work in progress!

made an amigurumi kitty today. he named after my brother. and like my brother..he will listen to your problems, remember all of your favorite things and protect you from ghosts and ghouls. if you want to adopt him he is in my shop!

a bit of crochet

i got some new threads this weekend so i am making some holiday type outfits and hats for petite blythe and lati white. i have so many things i want to make! i think rag dolls with be next or amigurumi. huggs to all!

a future project

we went to the fabric store yesterday. so i got some cute flannel and a pattern to make mikey some pajama bottoms. i was going to make him the whole set but he really doesn't care for shirts with buttons so i'll buy him a t-shirt to match.

new socks

since it is getting VERY chilly here and these were on clearance i bought two new pairs of socks. if you haven't already visited sockdreams.com go now! but careful it's addictive!

look at the cute new banner my sister made for me. so a new color scheme was in order.. nice for fall i think!

it's like my birthday!

my sister sent my september swap and my october swap (which i'm not opening until later in the month) and it was like my birthday! she sent me so many wonderful things! i cannot begin to tell you how much i love everything!
my september theme was polka dots and she did a wonderful job! and she sent some other wonderful goodies too! including some really pretty yarns.
and i can say she knows me so very well cause i absolutely love everything!

feeling better and the dryer pic

hi all, i am feeling better and more positive today. mikey has been ok at school the last couple days. and i started giving my neighbor sewing and crochet lessons which is really fun. and wow! she is learning the crocheting so fast! so i gave her some more yarn today.
anyways here is the pic of the dryer as promised before. as you can see it is scratched but it is really a nice dryer! and it sure dries the clothes fast!
