first snow!

woke up to find this little sprinkling of snow. mikey didn't like being outside in the snow last year.. and he didn't like his snow boots either. we'll see how he does this year. gotta go to get my braces tightened today.. ugg!

yesterday...

december 6th is always a bittersweet day. 12 years ago my grandma died. i really loved her. she was such a sweet kind hearted lady. who spoke her mind. i think i may have gotten that from her.
and though i sometimes miss her. i know she is in a better place.
but it is also the day.. 6 years ago that we baptized mikey and i married my husband the second time. this time in church. my little cherub cheeked baby he was only 8 months old. it was a very happy day.

a new years resolution....

i have had an idea of writing things down.. memories, dreams and things. i want to get three journals. one for memories. things i don't want to forget. my husband who is almost 10 years older than me seems to be forgetting alot of things now and i don't want to be that way.. but just in case i want to start writing down happy memories and some others that i think are just important.
another book of dreams.. dreams i have given up, dreams that have come true and dreams hat i am still dreaming.
and last a book for mikey. i want to write down my thoughts and wishes for him.. also maybe a little memories from day to day..things he has learned and funny cute things he does.
now, i just need to get some journals to do this..i could use notebooks.. but i want them to be nice and hold up over the years.

what i want for christmas....

the things i want the most.. are not things really. more like wishes or miracles. those who know me best know what they are. maybe 2010 will be my year to get them. i can only hope and pray.
as for material things.. i'd love an ipod. to listed to music to help my sanity on the bad days. maybe a new moon calendar. i would like some blank journals.. for a new years resolution i have in mind. i saw a very nice boxed dvd set of gone with the wind at target the other day. that would be a wonderful gift.
that's all i can think of really.
it seems i am getting less interested in making wish lists as the years go by.

my new nephew roman was born on friday! a big boy! 11 pounds and 8 ounces! can't wait to see pics of him! welcome roman!

the first time in 10 years!

this is the very first year.. since we bought out little house ten years ago.. that we have christmas lights! my hubby put these up over the weekend! very pretty!

i meant to post a happy thanksgiving post.. but things just got a little crazy and busy. i made 4 pies for our family. 1 apple, 2 pecan pineapple and one pudding. and nope! i didn't take pics! forgot that too!
but we had a nice thanksgiving with my hubby's family.
