2009 effanbee dolls

i was looking at the 2009 dolls from effanbee today and these two are my favorites. maybe i can get them later in the year...



ann estelle princess ann. isn't she cute!? i love her outfit and the shoes!

basic goldilocks. the new body looks so posable and she has such pretty hair and face!

it is snowing like crazy today. so i took a pic for you all to see.

thrift store finds

i am way behind on showing you my finds. but i will start today with these....

vintage flannel doll clothes with adorable kitties on them.


netting for vintage hats with millinery leaves and butterfly.


vintage wool hat with velvet leaves appliqued and netting.

i have some other things i found that need to be shown.. so hopefully will do that tomorrow.

today's snail mail

today i got a lot of 142 ribbon roses in the prettiest shade of pink. i cannot resist ribbon roses. i don't know why...

mikey playing with the snow

yesterday we got mikey all bundled up and took him out to see the snow. but he didn't like it this tie and was sad cause he couldn't swing and climb on his climbing toys.
so... i brought him in a bowl of snow and he played and played and tasted it too!

our fish

i'll admit.. i have now idea how to take care of fish. i've read everything.. but still my tank stays cloudy. but my fish don't seem to care.. i've have one for 3 1/2 years! the other is about 9 months i think.
the bigger one is about 7-8 inches long.
they don't leave their plants alone. they push them up and they are always floating on top.
anyways here are goliath (big one) and hannibal (named cause he was biting goliath's tail off!) they are in a bowl.. cause i was cleaning their house.

cinciallegra aka meg

my birthday gift from my hubby arrived yesterday. she is cinciallegra pullip. she is dressed in a sort of civil war era style gown with a beautiful bonnet. her hair is done up in braided buns. i really love her and think she makes a wonderful addition to my doll family.
i am naming her margaret (meg for short) after meg in little women. if you ever want to buy i pullip i'd consider cinciallegra cause she is beautiful!

why aren't there any pics of me here? i am VERY un-photogenic. so here is a pic of me when i was 18 years old. with my husband...i think we were at a bowling alley.

blythe outfits

i made a dress pattern for my big blythe doll last week and here is what i made so far.
the problem is.. i want to keep them! but they are both on etsy.. will have to make some to keep!

our 11th anniversary

we celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary on december 27th. we really didn't do anything special.. just stayed home with mikey.
my hubby gave me an antique dresser. really beautiful. it is signed with a brass plate. it is made by sligh. it has some really wonderful details including and inlayed flower.
and my mom sent us this funny card!
hoping and praying we'll have MANY, MANY more anniversaries together!
