key lime cove

this year instead of buying him a gift we took him to key lime cove (indoor water park) for three days. and he loved it as you can see!












he was fearless on all the slides. even the big ones.




when they cleaned the room the put mikeys monster on the bed!

mikey's crafty swap!

for april my sister and i did a kids craft swap. she send mikey an amazing box of goodies!



watercolors and coloring pages of famous art work. aren't those coloring pages cool!


mikey loves these cause they have that texture. and they are fun to color!



lacing cards, felt stars, glue sticks and magnet sheet to make all kinds of crafts!



felt shapes, twist up crayons, face paint, washable stamp pad, postcards to color and bug stickers.

mikey's birthday gifts!

mikey is turning 7 on monday! so i guess he'll be getting a few gifts. auntie amy was the first to send him something this year..



she sent this accordion which sounds so pretty! and mikey loves it! and the cute frog that you paint and then plant grass seeds on him. we haven't done it yet.. but hopefully in the next couple weeks. thank you auntie amy!

that box is a vintage valentine candy box. it is so beautiful with vintage millinery on top of the layers of ribbons. now i gotta figure out how to display it!

i got these books.. maybe two weeks ago. the grant total was less than two dollars!



this one i mainly bought cause i loved the picture.. but i'll read it eventually. and only 50 cents anyways.


i haven't read any of the dan brown books yet. though my brother keeps telling me i should..so i snatches this one up.

a fun swap!

i love to do swaps! i had been looking at this painting.. but i am trying not to spend. so i asked if the seller would swap. and to my delight she said yes! so i sent her some vintage goodies and she sent the painting along with a surprise print.
the painting reminds me alot of my sweet blythe dolls. you gotta go look at her cute shop FairRosamund to see her other sweet paintings and prints.

thrift store find

i often see things at the thrift store.. but don't buy them. i looked at this 4 times before i bought it. not cause it was expensive.. just because i am trying to be more choosy at what i buy.. but after all those times..i decided to bring it home. it is a shadow box with a vintage print. about 8" by 10". very sweet!
