just sharing pics and shop closing date

i will be closing my shop on the december 19th and will reopen on january first. hopefully i'll have a nice big update! so if you want to order anything please do by the 19th. the shop wil go to vacation mode.

thrift store finds part 3

last bunch of stuff. vintage cake decorations.. most of these will go to etsy. i really just wanted the merry go round. they are cute though!

thrift store finds part 2

i also found these adorable christmas tree topper angels. i couldn't believe there were two! and i love the pink hair! they are made with a cone body covered in burlap. embellished with straw, beads and yarn. i think they are so adorable!..made in taiwan! maybe from the 60's?

yesterday's thrift store finds part 1

yesterday we went to one of the thrift stores we always go to and found lots of cute and pretty things. i am separating these finds into three posts..lots of pics!

first we have some vintage linens. i was kinda bummed cause there were about 20 more beautiful and cute embroidered pieces i had to leave behind.. i couldn't afford everything! so i bought three.. the ones i thought were the prettiest. and isn't that kewpie one so adorable! i think these were all made by the same lady. there were many similar with cats..i'll go back in about a week to see if there are any left.

also i got a hankie with a pretty scalloped edge and lots of tiny pink rosebuds embroidered on it.

ans last i found a vintage tablecloth with STRAWBERRIES! my favorite! and it has no holes or stains!

today's snail mail

today's snail mail was really great. i got a dress for my new blythe doll. it is so cute! from hiblythe on etsy. with my melody on it. so well ade too. i think the colors suit olivia well.
also a goodie envelope from sweet rosy! with all kinds of cute stuff! carminta tags, zippy poouches and totally cute kawaii stationary things she bought from me. i love all of it rosy! thank you!

vintage hat collection

i have a small vintage hat collection. they are not easy to find around here at prices i can afford so i just have a few. they are all really pretty with flowers..and mostly pink of course!

what do you have in there?

i keep alot of my goodies in containers like this flower tin. this is because i don't want mikey getting into these things. when he is older maybe i can display more of my goodies. so what's in this tin? my vintage baby rattle collection and some old dolly clothes and things.. yummy colors huh!

artful blogging

i recently got the newest artful blogging and it is as usual full of eye candy and fun reading. i am happy i see a few blogs a recognize and some others that are fun.

i also see in this issue that there are new magazines for 2009..stuffed all about stuffed creations.. just right for me! and i did see at the book store the new magazine where women create. i really wanted to get it but with artful blogging being SO expensive i just bought artful blogging that day.

but today i found an issue of where women create on ebay for a lower price so i snagged it! yippee!

someday maybe my blog will be considered artful but until then i'll keep trying!
