living with braces...

let me tell you a little bit about how it is.

eating.. you can only eat mushy food.. mashed potatoes, apple sauce, pudding, jello, ice cream, soup, eggs..you get the idea.. i tried to eat mc donalds french fries..just the soft ones.. and paid for it with a new surge of pain!

brushing your teeth.. you must brush your teeth 3-4 times a day. and use a skinny buttle brush shaped thing to clean in between your teeth and the braces. and you have to use a plastic needle thingy to floss your teeth above the braces.

lips... you have to take care of your lips. lib balm is a must have! i have ordered several on etsy.. so i can have many flavors.. since i have been using it several times a day! also to protect the inside of your lips.. you put pieces of wax over the braces..where they rub..

pain... today i managed to go from 5:30 am to 12 noon without pain killers.. so it is getting better.

braces update

ok so i'm going to post regularly on how it's going. today i went to get a bracket re attached.. and it hurt! when they put them on the first time i was zonked. but the good news is..the teeth are already moving..noticably! after just a week! so that is encouraging!

forever 21

i had been eyeing forever 21 for awhile.. but their size only goes up to large.. so since i am kinda borderline plus.. especially in the bust area.. i decided against it. well they came up with a new plus size line called faith 21. so i ordered a few new things for the summer. also some goodies from the forever 21 accessories section. they have bunches of cute hair accessories. anyways i'll be adding the link to favorite clothes section also.
by the way.. their prices aren't too high so go have a look!

the pain!

agg! i think the pain is coming mostly from the braces now.. and ugg! it hurts really bad! i am going to ask tomorrow if it's supposed to hurt this much. meanwhile i keep taking strong drugs!
and another thing.. i cannot eat! only mushy stuff! i tried eating a couple of those powdery doughnuts yesterday and it was a PAIN to clean out of the braces! so i guess i'll be stuck with applesauce, soup, oatmeal, pudding, jello..etc.. for 2 years! well.. maybe i'll loose some weight at least!
if i could just have some pizza!

OUCH!

where have i been? well on tuesday i had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled out! i actually broke one so finally gave in and had them pulled. and as if that wasn't enough..i got 4 other teeth pulled so i could get braces! my teeth are so crowded..they said it was the best way.. so i have been living in pain-ville the last few days. hopefully it will lessen soon! anyways here is a first glimpse! of my horribly crooked teeth!
