feeling better

we are both feeling much better. though i am not 100%. did a bit of crochet for pullips this morning.

right about now...

i really wish someone could take care of me. i feel horrible! or at least take mikey until this cold passes.

mother's day

we celebrated mother's day at our house yesterday with my husbands family...they make a pretty big deal about mother's day. i was very spoiled and got several pretty things! mikey had a great time playing with his cousins and bouncing in his jumpy house too!

this orchid was from my sister in law rosy and her family. so pretty!



and rosy also gave me this pretty picture frame. she says i have to put a picture of mikey and i in in.
i also got a flower plant for my yard from my other sister in law.. but it's outside.

mikey's party

mikey's party went very well. no tantrums. he was very happy. he got all money for gifts.. so no gift pics to show you.



i don't think i did as good of a job decorating cakes this time. but they tasted yummy!

getting ready

we are celebrating mikey's 8th birthday tomorrow. birthdays for mikey are not as exciting as they are for other kids. he doesn't like alot of people around, or the singing, or blowing out candles and he doesn't care about opening gifts. really he has no idea that it's his birthday or that anything special is going on. but i try to make his birthday's special. i cannot believe he will be 8!




a bit of decorations. i used to decorate like crazy. but my husband complains about the tape marks on the ceiling so i just do a little and usually have balloons.



since mikey isn't into gifts..we are planning to take him back to the waterpark for his gift. but my husband went to the disney store to pick him up a couple little things. he loves nemo and monsters inc so i think he'll like these. and the easter bucket was on clearance. he likes carrying things around so i think he'll like that too. maybe i'll have some party pics sunday or monday. happy weekend!

reading...

i finished that book shelter me so quickly. couldn't hardly put that one down. so now i picked this on from my stash.

reading

this what i am reading right now. and i'm already hooked though i started reading it yesterday. i love reading stories about people who have imperfect lives and are not altogether blissfully happy. in other words.. it's like real life! not some kind of fairytale. its very amusing so far. though also sad.


and this one my sister lent me. i have read several books about the holocaust but they were mostly written by jews who survived. this one was interesting cause it's about a christian lady and her family who helped hide jews and ended up at the concentration camp themselves. really good book. thanks amy!

feeling better

we are all feeling much better. this stomach virus was terrible! and my poor mikey not even able to tell me what hurts! but here he is feeling much better watching a movie. my favorite little guy!
